Texas Chocolate Quarter Sheet Cake

Ingredients

• ·         1 cup flour (all-purpose)
• ·         1 cup sugar (granulated)
• ·         a 1⁄4 teaspoon of salt
• ·         1 unsalted butter stick (4 oz.)
• ·         2 tablespoons cocoa powder (unsweetened)
• ·         half a cup of boiling water
• ·         a 1/4 cup of buttermilk
• ·         1 big beaten egg
• ·         1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
• ·         1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ·         7 tablespoons unsalted butter for the icing
• ·         cocoa powder (about 2 tblsp.)
• ·         buttermilk (three tablespoons)
• ·         1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 c. powdered sugar, sifted

Instructions

1.   1. Set the oven's temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.    2.A quarter-sheet pan should be lightly coated with cooking spray. A quarter-sheet pan measures 12 by 10 inches.

3.   3. First, make the cake. Salt, sugar, and flour should all be blended together in a medium-sized mixing bowl.

4.  4.  Butter should be melted in a small pan over low heat.

5.  5.  Once the butter has melted, combine it with the boiling water and cocoa powder.

6.   6. In a measuring cup, mix the buttermilk, egg, baking soda, and vanilla.

7.    7.The flour mixture should be combined with the buttermilk mixture before being combined with the hot water mixture.

8.   8. Before pouring the cake batter into the ready pan, all of the ingredients must be well-combined.

9.   9. Cook for 15 to 18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the dish emerges clean.
