Ingredients
- · 3 cups fresh
strawberries (preferably organic)
- ·
1 cup granulated
sugar
- ·
2 cups cold heavy
cream
- · 2 cups cold whole milk
Instructions
Step 1
Strawberry hulls should be
cleaned. 2 cups of the strawberries should be processed into a puree. Finely
chop the remaining strawberries.( If
the strawberries are really ripe and soft, all you need to do is mash them with
a fork or a potato masher to get the juice and little soft bits.)
Step 2
Incorporate the sugar and
strawberry purée in a sizable mixing basin and stir to combine. Add the juices,
heavy cream, and milk along with the cut strawberries. To blend, stir.
Step 3
As directed by the
manufacturer, pour the mixture into the freezer bowl of your ice cream machine.
Step 4
If you don't have an ice
cream maker, transfer the ingredients to a freezer-safe container that is
covered and has a lid. In about an hour, take the container out of the freezer
and whisk it for a few minutes with a balloon whisk or beat it with a hand-held
electric mixer to melt the ice around the edges. Refrigerate
after covering and setting aside. Once the ice cream has completely frozen,
repeat this procedure two or three more times. A creamy ice cream will result
from this method.
